[14p-PA1-52] BLS spectroscopy of spin-wave excitation generated by parametric pumping

To detect the nonlinear effect on spin-wave propagation, Brillouin light scattering spectroscopy was applied to the strong spin wave generation process by parametric pumping. By radiating an excitation microwave (6 GHz) on Yttrium-Iron-Garnet (YIG), the BLS spectra exhibit sharp peaks at 3 GHz, the half of excitation frequency, meaning the strong nonlinear process of the parametric pumping. Bias magnetic field and excitation microwave power dependences on magnon density were investigated in detail by BLS spectroscopy.
