[14p-PA2-75] An 80μm pitch X-ray imaging using TlBr detector

Recently, TlBr detectors are remarked since it has high X-ray absorption efficiency. However, narrow pitch X-ray imaging with TlBr has not been performed because the electrode process and the readout IC corresponding to the characteristics of TlBr are not enough. Our readout IC is designed for CdTe detectors but it is able to support the slow signal generated by TlBr detectors. By stacking a TlBr detector instead of CdTe on the readout IC, an 80μm X-ray imager is realized. Taking radiography and measurement MTF are done by using the imager. As the result, although the measured spatial resolution of TlBr is lower than that using CdTe, the capability of narrow pitch X-ray imaging with TlBr has been confirmed.
