It is necessary to consider the attenuation caused by body tissues for the assessment of internal dose by the external counting. Therefore, it is important to consider the depth of deposition in the lung, which can be estimated by analyzing the peak intensity ratio in the LX-ray spectrum. In this study, in order to confirm the feasibility of this estimation method, we demonstrated the LX-ray spectrum measurements from a 241Am source using a Si semiconductor detector. To simulate the LX-rays transmitting through a body tissue, PMMA plates with various thickness were placed between the detector and source during the measurements.
