The spin wave mode conversion between Backward Mode and Surface Mode was achieved by the Peltier element-induced heating and cooling. That modulates the saturation magnetization of sample and results in the change of spin wave characteristics. Our experiments with vector network analyzer and real-time oscilloscope revealed that propagating spin wave of the in-plane direction can be controlled. Numerical micromagnetic simulation showed good agreement with experiments. This findings open the way to the design and construction of the more complex magnonic circuits.
