[10p-N101-2] Nanoscale Thermometry Based on Photoluminescence from Praseodymium Ions in Gallium Nitride Semiconductor
Keywords:Quantum sensing, Rare-earth doping, Temperature sensing
“Quantum sensing”, temperature and electro-magnetic field sensing using spin resonance and/or photon emission of point defects or impurities in solid state materials, has attracted attention because of its high sensitivity with nanoscale resolutions. We have proposed rare-earth ions have promise for the quantum sensor and here we show principles and methods of nanoscale temperature sensing based on photoluminescence from praseodymium ions in gallium nitride.
