[10p-N204-17] Comparison of Rutile and Anatase in photo-assisted H2 generation rate on TiO2 surfaces

Photoctalytic H2 generation occurs on TiO2 surfaces. Among TiO2, H2 generation process is more active on anatase surfaces than on rutile surfaces. Based on the adiabatic potentials for H2 desorption processes obtained by the first principles calculations, the H2 gas generation rates have been found to be higher on anatase surfaces, but to be lower on the rutile surfaces.
