[10p-N401-1] Transition Metal Carbides with Carbon Deficiency: Work Function and Density

Transition metal carbides have relatively low work function, still not high reactivity. Carbon atoms can be partically missing which causes change in work function. Previously work function change can be estimated from Vickers hardness. In this presentation, density calculated from chemical composition and lattice constant from X-ray diffraction can be used as a measure for estimating change in work function.
