[11a-N402-4] Comparative Study of Deposition Flux Variations by Highly Sensitive Detection of Long Half-life Radioactive Halogens 36Cl and 129I using Accelerator Mass Spectrometry
Keywords:Accelerator Mass Spectrometry, Cl-36, I-129
We evaluate the variation and behavior of the fall out amount of 36Cl, which is mainly a cosmogenic nuclide, and 129I which is one of the cross-border pollution and is mainly caused by nuclear activity, and examine its adaptability as an environmental tracer. In particular, we conducted a comparative evaluation with the Pacific side regarding the seasonal variation in the fall out amount of long half-life radioactive halogens such as 36Cl and 129I on the Sea of Japan side, where there are few studies. Precipitation 36Cl and 129I concentrations tended to increase in winter on the Sea of Japan side.
