非平衡プロセスによる薄膜合成と固相結晶化法を組み合わせることで、薄膜内で生成するドナー型欠陥を意図的に制御し、その結果、高温成長エピタキシャル薄膜よりも高移動度な多結晶In₂O₃:H薄膜を開発した事例を紹介する。非晶質In₂O₃:H薄膜は200℃以下で結晶化するため、透明導電膜を用いる一般的な太陽電池の製造工程にも組み込むことが可能で、窓電極材料を置き換えることにより各種太陽電池の性能は向上する。
