[11p-S101-5] Challenges and oppotunities for quantum software and quantum algorithms

Keisuke Fujii1,2 (1.Osaka Univ., 2.RQC)

Keywords:Quantum computing, Quantum software, Quantum information

At present, quantum computers on the scale of a few tens of qubits are being realized, and they outperform classical supercomputers in certain tasks. In the near future, small scale applications without error correction (NISQ) and in the long term, fault-tolerant quantum computation (FTQC) are the targets. In this talk, I will give an overview of the quantum software needed, the technical challenges that need to be cleared, and the applications, from the perspective of both NISQ and FTQC.
