[11p-S202-5] High-average-power femtosecond fiber laser system by arbitrary pulse train control

On high-average-power laser operation, fiber laser system supplies excellent quality beams to many applications. We have been developing a high-peak and high-repetition rate femtosecond fiber laser system which consists of polarization-maintaining Yb-doped PCF rod-fibers and an arbitrary pulse train control system. The output average power was obtained at 54 W with an excellent beam quality. A repetition rate of the laser pulse train was up to 3200 MHz from 100 MHz by using an optical pulse multiplier which consists of six 50:50 polarizationmaintaining fiber couplers. The amplified pulse width can be controlled from 300 ps to 610 fs. A duration of the pulse train was also arbitrary changed by using an acoustic optical modulator.
