[12a-N202-3] On the existence of "quantum DP light" related to dressed photon phenomena

Hirofumi Sakuma1, Tadashi Kawazoe2 (1.RODreP, 2.Nichia Corp.)

Keywords:dressed photon, quantum light, Majorana fermion

A brief summary on the main promising results of a new theory for dressed photon (DP) phenomena is to be presented. According to this new theory which is an extended Maxwell theory, DP can be interpreted as a new type of exciton consisting of Majorana particles which behaves like an electron-hole pair. A distinct feature of this exciton is that it is either created or annihilated at the singular (in the sense of continuity of a given material field) points through the intervention of light field. In this presentation, we focus on the annihilation mechanism and discuss the possibility that it can create peculiar light field reflecting the unique characteristics of involved Majorana field. We think it quite intriguing that our theoretical prediction on this peculiar light field seems to be consistent with the experimental results reported in the preceding presentation.
