When ultrathin films of FeSe are grown on SrTiO3 (STO) substrates, a huge enhancement of the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, from 9 K (in a bulk form) up to 65 K is observed, which is attributed to the interface effect between the FeSe film and the STO substrate. The enhancement of Tc due to the interface effect was observed in films grown by molecular beam epitaxy, and there has been no report for films grown by pulsed laser deposition. In this study, we report on the growth and transport properties of FeSe ultrathin films on STO by a PLD technique.
