[13p-N201-4] Integrated Electrochemical Systems for Scalable CO2 Conversion to Chemical Feedstocks

Keywords:CO2 reduction, electrocheical system

We are developing an integrated system to recover and enrich CO2 from the atmosphere, air inside buildings, and exhaust gases from factories, and to convert it into a resource by using renewable electricity. We have been focusing on the design of a reaction field for CO2 enrichment near the cathode, and have achieved a selectivity of more than 60% for ethylene using nanostructures, mainly Cu, supported on a mesoporous base material. In the future, it is important to design the system as a whole through the concerted development of the elements, including not only CO2 reduction but also separation and recycling.
