Our research group has found sulfonated polyimide thin films that exhibits long-range order (lamellar structure) according to water content due to its extended lyotropic liquid crystalline property, and has reported the relation between its organized structure and proton conductivity. In this study, we investigated the organized structure by weakening the rigidity of the main chain required for lyotropic liquid crystalline property. As a result, it was newly found that a lamellar structure can be obtained by increasing the molecular weight even if the rigidity of the main chain is weak.
