3d1 electron syetem AVO3 (A = Sr, Ca) is known as a strongly correlated metal, which can be transformed into Mott insulator by filling and bandwidth control. As one of the typical strongly correlated electron systems, the electronic structure has long been evaluated and analyzed based on Fermi-liquid theory. However, the effect of the A cation on the electron correlation differs greatly depending on the evaluation method, and its interpretation is still under debate. On the other hand, epitaxial strain can affect the electron correlation while maintaining the A-site composition. In this study, the electronic states of SrVO3 and CaVO3 thin films grown on various substrates and subjected to different strains were compared based on the Fermi liquid theory and ab-initio band calculations.
