[22a-P09-2] Spin and anomalous Hall effects in bi-layered Co/5d heavy metal: Effect of 5d band filling

The spin Hall conductivity (SHC), anomalous Hall conductivity (AHC), and angle dependent magnetoresistance (ADMR) of the bilayer thin film system Co₁/HM₃ (Ta, W, Re, Os, Ir, and Pt) were investigated. SHC shows a maximum in Co₁/Pt₃ and a negative maximum in Co₁/W₃, indicating a dependence on the 5d band occupation number of HM. The trend of AHC is similar to that of SHC. In this presentation, we will show the relationship between the magnetic properties and the electronic structure of Co/5d heavy metals.
