Keywords:Compton camera, downsizing

We have been developing a high-sensitivity omnidirectional Compton camera using crystal scintillator to visualize the distribution of low-level gamma radiation sources whose surface dose rate is only 1μSv/h or less. In this study, we have developed a compact and portable Compton camera with rotation function for practical use. This system can be operated with DC12V, 15W, and can be remotely controlled wirelessly by installing a Wi-Fi router. Furthermore, by adopting a small PMT and optimizing the crystal arrangement, we succeeded not only in downsizing the system but also in improving the image quality of the reconstructed images.
