For the evaluation of atmospheric dust containing radioactive cesium in the restricted area in Fukushima Prefecture, measurement of radioactivity concentration of dust collected in a certain period of time with a dust sampler have been used. However, it is difficult to measure dust in the atmosphere in real time and predict the diffusion range. This time, we have developed a small lidar for short-range measurements that can be operated even in an environment without power and communication infrastructure. In this report, we describe the results and basic experiments from this self-feeding stand-alone lidar and a small polarized lidar.
