[16p-Z09-11] Optical Trapping of Low-Refractive Index Particles Using Dual Vortex Beams

We are developing a novel optical trapping method that can stably manipulate a low refractive index particle by controlling the intensity distribution of a dark spot formed at the focus of a laser beam. In this talk, we present our experimental results of the generation of a three-dimensional dark spot produced by two vortex beams with orthogonal polarization directions. The generated dark spot is applied to trap and manipulate a low refractive index particle three-dimensionally.
