Today, polypropylene is used in medical devices such as catheters, sutures, and syringe needle bases. However, there are issues such as friction with the living body during insertion, bacterial growth, and susceptibility to blood clots. Therefore, we are aiming to solve the problem and improve the function by depositing diamond-like carbon (DLC), which has excellent low friction and antithrombotic properties, on the polymer material.
