Our group has proposed the self-propelled mechanism that can be driven by low heat flux and examined the performance. In addition, we have been investigating artificial cilia with asymmetric joint structure using this mechanism. However, since these artificial cilia have a shaft structure, it is difficult to miniaturize it in a microfluidics. Therefore, we will report that artificial cilia that do not require a shaft structure in the transition boiling region.
