我々は、トップセルにCu₂O太陽電池、ボトムセルにSi太陽電池を用いた四端子タンデム太陽電池（Cu₂Oタンデム）の開発を進めている。Cu₂O太陽電池の透明化に世界で初めて成功し、さらにプロトタイプのCu₂Oタンデムを試作してSi単体（効率22%）を超える高効率24.2%を実証してきた。透過型Cu₂O太陽電池の技術課題は更なる変換効率の向上であり、今回、短絡電流密度（J_sc）の改善に関して報告する。
