Transparent solar cells are solar cells that transmit visible light and absorb ultraviolet light, which is harmful to the human body, and convert it into electricity. However, ultraviolet light accounts for only about 6% of sunlight, resulting in low power generation, and there is a lack of research on transparent p-type semiconductors. Therefore, we attempted to fabricate transparent solar cells by adding structural innovations to the pn junction, using ZnO nanorods as the transparent n-type semiconductor, a buffer layer to fill in the gaps, and CuBr1-xIx (CuBrI), a transparent p-type semiconductor that has not been studied.
