In our laboratory, we have been developing the ion image sensor for imaging the neurotransmitter behavior. Because of the measurement principle, the spatial resolution of this sensor can be greatly reduced due to the ion diffusion in the solution. In this study, we aim to improve the resolution by using a porous alumina film as a structure to suppress the ion diffusion. In addition, to verify the effect of the structure, we combined it with a sensor patterned with an enzyme membrane and compared the output response with and without the structure.
