In the conventional NASH diagnosis, it was difficult to diagnose only by the morphological characteristics of accumulated fat in the early stage when fibrosis and inflammation were not clear. Therefore, in this study, we verified the applicability of Raman microscopy as a new NASH diagnostic method focusing on the molecular structure of accumulated fat. As a result, it was found that it may be possible to provide a new index for NASH diagnosis from the viewpoint of the molecular structure and spatial distribution of accumulated fat, which was difficult to visualize until now.
