Keywords:photoacoustic, circular dichroism

In recent years, though circular dichroism imaging has been studied to clarify chiral structures in living tissues, it is difficult to perform deep observation and obtain depth information. In this study, to overcome this drawback, we have combined a circular dichroism imaging and photoacoustic imaging that can visualize deep tissues. We found that a structure showing circular dichroism in the wing of Anomala albopilosa can be visualized by developed photoacoustic imaging system using circularly polarized optical beam.
