Keywords:Dry Laser Peening, 2024 Aluminum alloy

Dry Laser Peening is an effective process for improving the fatigue characteristics of materials. The purpose of this study was to clarify the influence on the peening effect of 2024 Aluminum alloys. Dry Laser Peening was processed by changing the pulse duration. The mechanical properties of the tests pieces were evaluated. As a result, it was confirmed that the peening effect was maximized under the condition of pulse duration of 1 ps. It was clarified that the optimum pulse duration exists in the Dry Laser Peening process.
