[19p-Z22-7] Investigation of Au slit structure on polarization selectivity of microcavity

The vertical cavity surface emitting laser capable of wavelength sweeping have a problem of polarization switching during wavelength sweeping due to the symmetry of the cavity. In this study, the slit structure was introduced into the resonator to suppress polarization switching, and the effect of the structure shape on the polarization selectivity was investigated by the simulation. As a result, it is suggested that the difference in diffraction loss of polarized light changes depending on the structural parameters and that the polarization selectivity can be optimized by modifying the structure appropriately.
