[20a-A106-6] Proliferation and differentiation characteristics of T cell by atmospheric pressure oxygen plasma

Keywords:cell activation, cell differentiation, oxygen plasma

By irradiating T cells (EL4) with atmospheric oxygen plasma (ozone concentration of about 100 ppm) for several tens of seconds, the number of T cells increased up to 1.3 times, and the amount of IL-4 cytokine produced by T cells increased 3.5 times. On the other hand, the amount of IFN-gamma released remained almost unchanged. Therefore, it is considered that T cells differentiated into Th2 cells by oxygen plasma irradiation.
