[20a-A404-8] In situ detection of phase mismatching in optical parametric amplification for vacuum squeezing

Phase mismatch in nonlinear optical crystals reduces squeezing levels and limits the performance of quantum technology. Since the phase matching conditions quickly deviate from the original design due to physical errors during manufacturing of the crystal and variation in ambient temperature, phase matching is sought by try-and-error, stopping the squeezing experiment and varying the conditions while maximizing the squeezing level. This research presents a method to detect phase mismatch in situ and obtain an error signal while performing squeezing.
