[20a-P05-13] Fluorescence imaging of self-assembled peptides on h-BN using Thioflavin-T

AFM has been used to observe peptide self-assembly on surfaces. However, it is difficult to observe macroscopic structures with AFM. Therefore, we aimed to measure the self-assembly status of peptides extensively and in real time by fluorescence observation using ThT. Peptide/ThT mixed aqueous solution was dropped on h-BN and the fluorescence image was observed. After removing the solution and drying, the same regions were observed by AFM. As a result, a correlation was observed between the areas of strong fluorescence and areas of dense peptide self-assembly.
