In recent years, a PCR method has been attracting attention due to a test for viral infection. Generally, PCR products are detected by using a fluorescent labeling agent and an optical device. In this study, a QCM mass sensor was investigated to be another method to monitor PCR products. We performed a PCR reaction on a QCM plate on which a primer was immobilized with monitoring of the QCM signal and then conformed it using electrophoresis. The mass increase was observed from the QCM response when a PCR reaction progressed. We hope that QCM could become a handy-sized device and one of the devices for a PCR test.
