[20a-P06-7] Examination of the effect of inactivation treatment on nucleic acid detection for infectious virus detection
Keywords:polymerase chain reaction, influenza virus, viral infectious diseases
As the pandemic of the COVID-19 has triggered many people to pay attention to living space safety, developing a method for detecting only infectious viruses is expected. In this study, samples treated with heating or sodium hypochlorite were measured by viral infection tests and RT-qPCR, and the relation between viral inactivation and measured copy numbers by RT-qPCR was evaluated. The heat treatment and sodium hypochlorite treatment assumed the denaturation of viral proteins by drying droplets and heating by such as stoves, and the inactivation of viruses by spraying and wiping hypochlorous acid-based disinfectants.
