Keywords:organic semiconductor, organic charge-transfer complexes, fluorene analogs

Recently, donor-acceptor (DA) complexes have attracted wide interest, because the charge transport mechanism has some similarities to DA polymers and the carrier doping effect is interesting for improving the performance of organic electronic devices. Since charge-transfer complexes include both donor (D) and acceptor (A) parts, ambipolar transport is expected, but electron-only transport has been observed widely in many tetracyanquinodimethane (TCNQ) complexes. For basic understanding of the polarity of TCNQ complexes, fluorene analogs and phenothiazine (PTZ) complexes are investigated.
