▲ [20p-B104-4] Charge Transport Anisotropy in Large-Area Oriented Floating Films of Semiconducting Polymers
Keywords:Polymer Orientation, Organic Field Effect Transistor, Anisotropic Charge Transport
Charge transport mechanism in Semiconducting Polymers (SCPs) has been extensively studied in the literature, and orienting the polymer backbone along the channel direction of OFETs can dramatically increase field-effect mobility. There are many methods for orienting SCPs but their application is difficult to produce high-performance OFETs and circuits with sufficient repeatability. Recently, we reported that Unidirectional Floating-film Transfer Method (UFTM) is an efficient film fabrication technique for the preparation of large-area oriented floating oriented films. Orientation in UFTM is supposed to occur due to the frictional force of liquid-substrate. Since the charge transport in OFETs takes place within a few nm of the film near the dielectric interface. Therefore, charge transport anisotropy at the liquid interface must be determined to understand the film growth mechanism and its use in the fabrication of different types of device structures. In this work, the preparation of large-area oriented floating films and charge transport anisotropy at the air interface and liquid interface with bottom-gate and top-gate OFET structures will be reported in detail.
