[21a-A102-4] Rapid Impedance Drop during Dielectrophoretic Assembly of Gold Nanoparticle Arrays

We have demonstrated single-electron devices comprising randam gold nanoparticle arrays assembled by use of dielectrophoresis. Because DEP process is rather stochastic, it is difficult to determine the optimum time duration for DEP. In this paper, we report hand-made electronics realizing current measurement during DEP. A micro-controller is employed for A/D conversion and impedance calculation. In addition, we also implement an automatic stop function which detect rapid impedance drop during DEP. We succeeded to fabricate a gold nanoparticle arrays by using this system.
