[21a-A205-10] Quantum Dot Hybrid Wavelength Tunable Laser using Curved Directional Coupler

We fabricated a hybrid laser using curved directional couplers (DCs) which have small wavelength dependence of coupling efficiency. The wavelength filter in the laser cavity has two micro ring resonators with curved DCs and oscillating wavelength is selected using vernier effects. Combining this filter and 1.55μm-band quantum dot semiconductor optical amplifier, which has broad gain bandwidth, wide wavelength tunable range was obtained.
