There is charge decay as an issue for practical application of potassium-ion electrets which is the material expected to be used in vibrational power generations devices. Our research group found that the hydrogen which is sealed in packages is one of the causes of the charge decay so far. It forms positive charged local structures or breaks SiO5 structure which is the origin of negative charge accumulation. However, it is still unclear that how the hydrogen diffuses in potassium-ion electrets. Therefore, we investigated the pathway of hydrogen in potassium-ion electret by first-principles calculations in this study.
