We have already reported that a well-organized ultra-thin film of lead iodide-based 2D organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite is formed by immersing the LB film of octadecyl amine (ODA) in an aqueous solution containing lead iodide. Here we further report on a successful fabrication of a lead bromide-based 2D organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite, which is formed by immersing the ODA LB film in an aqueous solution containing lead bromide . We would like to discuss the structure and properties of the 2D hybrid system based on characterization utilizing XRD, UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy and optical microscopy.
