Since the resonance modes in chaotic microcavities exhibit irregular mode spacings and modal losses, the statistical property of the resonance frequencies is crucial to control the lasing modes in chaotic microcavity lasers. In this work, we investigated the effect of the cavity deformation on the statistical property of resonance frequencies for a fully chaotic stadium-shaped microcavity using the finite element method.
