Among the various preparation methods of RE123 thin films, fluorine-free metal organic decomposition (FF-MOD) is expected to be a low-cost and mass production method because thin films with flat and homogeneous surfaces can be formed by short time sintering using tube furnaces under ambient pressure. It was reported that doping Pr, Ni and Zn to Y123 melt-solidified bulks improves critical current density (Jc) due to the dilute impurity doping effects. In this paper, microstructures and critical current properties of Pr, Ni, Zn and Ga-doped Y123 thin films of different concentration will be reported.
