The upper limit of the volume fraction of APC in REBCO wire is about 5%. If it is possible to introduce APC to the same level as the volume fraction (25%) of α-Ti in NbTi wire in REBCO, it is expected that higher Jc performance will be obtained. However, at present, it is experimentally clear that the upper limit of the APC concentration in REBCO is about 5%, but the cause is not understood in detail. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the microstructure and local strain distribution of the REBCO film whose APC concentration is around 5%, and to clarify the clues for solving the problem.
