2021年、東京大学医学系研究科・工学系研究科の研究シーズであるリングエコー撮像法を用いた乳房用リング型超音波画像診断装置ＣＯＣＯＬＹがLily MedTech社から発売された。本装置は、従来の乳がん検査装置の課題であった撮影時の受診者に与える痛みや被曝をなくし、技師の撮影スキルを必要とせず、再現性の高い画像撮影が可能である。現在、画像中の腫瘍の有無を判定する機械学習モデルを組み込んだソフトウェアの製品化を目指している。
