In our previous study, we have synthesized Cu3.1Ti0.25Sn0.9S4 with a sphalerite-derived disordered structure and revealed its relatively high thermoelectric figure of merit due to the low lattice thermal conductivity and relatively high power factor. The low thermal conductivity was attributed to the structural complexity; whereas, sulfur deficiency (formed during the sintering process) may also be responsible for scattering phonons. In this work, we prepared samples by sintering at different temperatures and investigated the effects of sulfur deficiency on the thermoelectric properties.
