▲ [21p-P18-14] Honeycomb Composite PEG-based Electrolytes Applicable for Rechargeable Lithium-ion Batteries
Keywords:Solid Polymer Electrolytes, Lithium-ion batteries, Polymer Composite Electrolytes
High ionic conductivity, suitable mechanical strength and electrochemical stability are the main requirements for high performance poly(ethylene oxide) based electrolytes. However, low ionic conductivity in PEO based electrolytes due to crystallinity of ethylene oxide chain limit the electrochemical performance. Lithium electrolytes that link high ionic conductivities with high lithium transference number are rare and believed to be essential for functional high-power batteries. Through this work, we are able to demonstrate that both the molecular design and the micro-scale porous microstructures are essential for obtaining better performance in polymer electrolytes. Specifically, we fabricated robust honeycomb composite polymer electrolyte (HCPE) films containing polyethylene glycol diacrylate (PEGDA), and equimolar ratios of tetraglyme (G4) and LiTFSI by a breath-figure method and evaluated their electrochemical performance.
