[22a-A402-4] Development of Φ50 mm single crystal Nd:YAG/YAG composite laser medium

We are addressing a large-diameter single crystal laser medium as an option for a high-power laser beyond 10 kW. In our recent work, we developed Φ50 mm single crystal laser composite consisting of 1 atm.% doped Nd:YAG single crystal and non-doped YAG single crystal. The laser composite was characterized by a laser system equipped with water-cooling system by a jet flow directly on a laser medium. A maximum output power of 80 W and a slope efficiency of 22.8 % are obtained.
