[22p-P04-13] Nonlinear Optical Properties of Si Nanoparticle-Au Nano-Line Hybrid Structures

Keywords:nanophotonics

Dielectric nanostructures with high refractive index confine light inside the structure by Mie resonance and enhance optical fields. On the other hand, metallic nanostructures amplify optical fields in the vicinity of the structure by plasmon resonances. Optical loss of the Si nanoparticle is low compared with that of the gold nanostructures, while the antenna effect for the gold nanostructures is larger than that of the Si nanoparticle. Novel photophysical properties, which are not achievable by the conventional materials, can be realized by combining Si nanoparticles with gold nanostructures. In this study, we fabricate the Si nanoparticle-gold nanoline hybrid structures and perform the microscopic measurements to reveal nonlinear optical properties of the hybrids.
