△ [23a-A105-11] Development of PVC membrane-based label-free potassium ion image sensor and imaging extracellular responses using acutely sliced brain tissue
Keywords:Extracellular K+, Label-free potassium ion image sensor, Polyvinyl chloride
Toward high spatiotemporal imaging of extracellular K+([K+]o) dynamics in the brain, a 23.55 µm-pitch, 128×128 pixels, label-free K+ image sensor was fabricated, in which different thicknesses were deposited by controlling the volumes of PVC membrane solution, and the detection performance was investigated. The deposition condition of the K+ sensitive membrane was optimized, for which output variation would be decreased to less than 5% with nearly theoretical sensitivity. Additionally, it was demonstrated that the membrane thickness significantly affects [K+]o responses in extracellular imaging using brain tissues.
