Holographic memory is expected as a next-generation optical memory. Spatial Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (SQAM) signal recording and reading methods are attracting attention in order to increase the recording density. In this report, we propose a method to detect the phase of the SQAM signal without using an external optical interferometer.
In our method, a signal consisting of multiple SQAM signals is recorded, and two page data are selected and read at the same time to detect the phase of the signal from the interference fringe distribution on the camera.
